Pitbull mix. They are great dogs. I have 5. Be careful with him/her around cats and small children until you know for sure how the dog will react. Each dog is different. These can be strong willed dogs, so be sure you are the alpha of your pack.
From the build in the picture, looks like a Pit Bull to me.
American Staffordshire Terrier (also known as pit bull) is what it looks like to me. A lot of owners prefer the Am.
