He's adorable! He looks like at least part schnauzer to me, maybe mixed with a miniature pinscher(?) - he has pinscher like markings. Your vet should be able to give you a better idea.
Ask your vet - they are pretty good at telling you what breed it is. I took a dog my son found to the vet for a check-up. Until then I thought he was a Collie/Shepard mix. His tongue was frightening and had large splotches of blue over what looked like a pink tongue.
