What Breed is my Dog?

I'm looking into relocating to a different state and while looking for housing I ran into an issue of breed restrictions. My dog was 8 weeks old when I got her. I was told she was a pit mix.

Now, that she is a year and a half, I kind of wonder whether she really is. She is quite small for a pit, she is only 40 pounds. I feel like she must be either an American bulldog or a boxer mix. So if I say she is a boxer/lab mix or something along those lines, would that fly by a landlord?

The state where I am considering moving doesn't have a pit bull ban, but a lot of housing complexes have breed restriction policy, which includes pits as an aggressive breed. My dog is by no means aggressive, she is really chill and mellow, and has 2 cats for her best friends. She never bit anyone, and all she ever want to do is cuddle and lick you in the face.

Please help me figure out, what breed mix she looks like. Thank you!

Females of both Boxer and American Staffordshire Terrier (aka pit bull) breeds are usually smaller; 40lbs is about right for a mix. I'm sorry to tell you that my experience as an AKC Boxer breeder (40+years before my relocation to the UK), many years of Boxer and Boxer breed rescue, and my cousin raising Staffies (aka pit bulls) tells me your beautiful dog is indeed a Boxer-Staffie mix.

And sadly, neither breed is welcomed by many rental agencies in the US. The last five years I lived in the US were in NW GA, where I had such a terrible time finding a rental that I ended up buying a small house so the one Boxer I had left could have a home with me.

Rental property managers who welcome this type of dog are hard to find. They are out there, so don't give up, but do be prepared to meet a lot of negativity.

What a beautiful dog you have! She certainly looks like a Boxer/Lab mix to me.

It is very easy way to find about the dogs and puppies. And I think that I will find my puppy breed.
