Zebra Finch Hatched an Egg?

My zebra finches have been laying eggs for 8 months, but nothing ever happens. This time around my submissive female has hatched an egg. Will my day to day activities make them abandon the babies?

It would be ideal if you could move the cage to a quiet location away from household activity. Do the usual feeding, watering and cage cleaning but otherwise give the birds their privacy. It's also good to feed the adult birds millet while they are raising their little ones.

Thank you, and there is also another set that are sitting. This is the first time we have had eggs hatch. She's out of the nest for the first time and that concerns me.

Their cage is in my bedroom but I spend most of my time on the computer and the t.v here

They dont like to be handled. Maybe you are touching them and interfering with the process.
