It wasn't until recently that I tried cilantro in my guacamole recipe but after checking out other people's recipes for it I was not disappointed with that added flavor ;-)
The best corn tortilla chips for dipping, if you can't purchase your already made favorite restaurant chips, is to deep fry or bake your own!
Guacamole tastes excellent on burgers and sandwiches as a condiment, too.
Mash cilantro, onion, jalapeno and avocado together with a fork in a bowl.
Stir in the tomato and lime juice. Add salt to taste, stir, and serve.

Guacamole is everything to me! I love avocados. You can use guacamole with so many foods; sandwiches, burgers, tacos, chips, salad, vegetables, crackers, eggs, etc.
Prep Time: 15-20 minutes
Total Time: Allow to chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes - 1 hr prior to serving
This is one of my husband's favorites.
Mash peeled avocados. Add remaining ingredients except chips; stir to mix well. Serve with chips.

The easiest way to make guacamole is to mash ripe avocados, pitted and peeled, of course, with a potato masher to the consistency that you like. I like it a bit chunky. Add a spoonful or 2 of your favorite salsa, to taste. A squeeze of fresh lime juice is optional, but perks up the flavor. Make this the day of the fiesta.

What I've found the easiest way to make Guacamole is to mash up 2 avacados leaving it some what chunky then stir in a half jar of salsa (hot or mild). If you want it creamy you can add some sour cream. Chill for about 2 hrs. Serve with your favorite chips or use as a condiment with your Hispanic dishes. (10/25/2006)

This is the way I make guacamole.
Dice the tomatoes, avacados and red onion. Mix together and squeeze some lime juice over the top and sprinkle a dash of salt on...stir up and your done! YUMMY! (10/25/2006)

Guacamole is its' best when it's fresh. Here is our recipe that we used to serve when we had our family restaurant. We never used lime or lemon juice as it changed the flavor too much for our taste buds. So we made it fresh several times a day.
Now when ever I make this recipe and bring it to parties, people comment that it is the best they have ever had. Enjoy.
