Hamburger Casserole


  • 1 box macaroni and cheese
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 large chunk (6-8 oz.) Velveeta cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Ad

  • 1 cup milk
  • onion salt
  • garlic salt
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese


Cook hamburger and chopped onion. Add garlic and onion salt to taste. Drain off grease. Add soup and 1/2 cup milk. Cook together briefly. In another pan, cook macaroni as directed. Drain. Add packaged cheese. In another pan, melt 1/2 stick butter in 1/2 cup milk and add Velveeta. Cook just until cheese melts. Pour this mixture into macaroni and cheese. In 9x13 inch pan, layer macaroni mixture and hamburger. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Serves 4-6.
