Tackle Box or Divided Plastic Craft Box for Earrings

I was always having trouble finding matching earrings when I had them in a jewelry box. Now I organize my earrings by color in the divided plastic craft/tackle box storage boxes. It makes finding the right earrings to go with a particular outfit a snap! I use smaller divided plastic boxes for tiny earrings. I find I use more of my earrings and waste a lot less time!

I just finished making a jewelry box for a friend using a plastic, divided container from the Euro shop. I decoupaged it in natural handmade paper and then added leaves and a branch from my garden for interest.

It turned out nicely I think.

I use egg cartons to keep my earrings together. I put them in one of those Wal-mart or dollar store plastic three drawer containers. Never have to worry about finding the match, it's there in the petitioned egg carton, just cut the top off the carton and you can easily fit two in the drawer.

Or you could just use your dresser drawer.

I am always looking for items to repurpose with...I take old unwanted record albums... I tape of sections & lines on the surface & then use a dremel saw to make pairs of holes for earrings etc....I usually put about 65 pairs of holes and then hang it by adding a ribbon or old chain to hang it on...works & looks great!!

A bit of work, but reuses a lot & costs nothing but time!
