Dark Bread

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups hot water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups All-Bran cereal
  • 2 pkgs. yeast
  • 6-7 cups white flour

Directions:

Stir water, sugar, molasses, shortening, salt, and cereal. Cool. Add yeast and stir until dissolved. Add flour to mixture and knead. Add flour as needed. Let rise and punch down. Form into 4 loaves. Let rise. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes.
