Elliptical vs. Stationary Bike?

I am debating about what exercise machine I should purchase. It is extremely cold outside, so I don't want to bundle up to run, which is better an elliptical or bike?

I suggest a bike, good luck.

I think an elliptical is better. Works more muscles then a stationary bike does.

An elliptical is better for cardiovascular and muscles but if you have knee or ankle problems you'll want to opt for the bike for a much less aggressive exercise.

If you have any type of back trouble you also don't want an eliptical. Elipticals are much harder to use which is why they work more of your body.

If you are very fit, choose the eliptical. If not, go for the bike. And be honest with yourself. Don't buy a very large dust collector!
