Luke is a 5 year old Redbone Hound Dog and Nikki is a 9 year old Black Mouth Cur. Both of our puppies were rescues, from people who couldn't them what they needed. Nikki joined our family about 7 years ago and Luke adopted us about 4 years ago. Their favorite thing to do is go for rides.
The first picture is their version of waving goodbye as we all leave on vacation. The second picture is when they are sitting pretty in the car. That lasts about 35 seconds before they start arguing over the back seat. It's just like having little kids in the car again.

Nice doggies. Ours love to go for a ride too. Any ride. When we're out on the farm, they ride in the wagon pulled by an old mare, and they'll run until they have no more energy, then, they have to have help to get into the wagon, and will ride on their blanket, even sleep there.
They argue over which one is going to help drive the old pick-up when they go with my husband to throw off hay. They know all the animals, have their favorites, and love going with us everywhere.
What handsome boys you have! Yes, dogs are just like children and we love them as if they were too! Please give each of your boys a "smooch" for me.
