Doris' Fruit Salad

A refreshing side dish we love in summer with sandwiches. We find these are enough fruits but you can add others if you like.

  • 1 - 20 oz. can chunk pineapple, with juice
  • 1 - 3 oz. package instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 can drained mandarin oranges
  • Cut up apple, banana and and one or two more fresh fruits you like.

Early in the day or the night before, gently mix the pineapple and oranges with the dry pudding. Chill. Before serving, add the apple, banana and other fruits. Chill for an hour if you like but it's not necessary, unless you want chilled apples and bananas.

Servings: 4-6 or more
Prep Time: 15 minutes Minutes

This sounds really good any time of year. Does the pudding mix make a creamy sauce?

I made this today with crush pineapple, instant vanilla pudding and the mandarin oranges since this was all I had on hand. This was very good not to mention very easy.

Next time I'll add some fruit. Please tell your mother-in-law thank you for sharing her receipe.
