This is the original chex mix recipe off the box of General Mills Chex Cereal. This is a great snack mix to put out during the holidays or to even give as gifts!

  4. Mix seasonings together, set aside
  5. Pour seasonings in with melted butter in the pan and mix
  6. Pour dry ingredients in the pan mixing well.
  7. Place in oven and cook for one hour, stir every 15 minutes.
  8. After an hour take out of the oven and spread mix out on 3 layers of paper towels, let sit for 15 minutes (or place in a large paper bag and shake)

  9. Serve and enjoy!

In our family we have played with this recipe over the years. We have tried using tamari soy sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce, added a few teaspoons of Cayenne pepper or have added Wasabi peas. So have fun and change it up a bit to fit your flavor preference.

Yum! I love party mix. I usually make mine in my big turkey roasting pan and mix it all together in there. I also use a paper bag to store it in while it is cooling.

I do the same thing if I'm making lots of popcorn.

I just made this for the first time in my life for our first Brown's home game, and silly enough, I find the cereal the best.
