Free Medicine To Those Who Qualify

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 277 Posts

With the cost of heating bills soaring and gasoline constantly going up along with everything else many are unable to afford prescriptions. But there is hope.

Ask your doctor about the free medicine program that pharmaceutical companies are offering. If you qualify you can receive your medicines for free for 1 year. All you need is a form (which your doctor should have) and a copy of your taxes to be sent along with your prescription to the pharmiceutical company.

If your doctor doesn't have the forms you can obtain them through the internet.

It is such a relief not to have to worry that you may not be able to afford medicine this month due to layoffs, heating costs, gasoline or other situations.

Hi,
www.needymeds.com/ has some sources.

www.pparx.org/Intro.php

Also as mentioned, search on the name of the maker of the prescription or the prescription name. Find the manufacturer and ask them if they have any programs. Many of them do.

I know that it sounds easy to do but I can tell you from experience that if you are taking more than 2-3 medicines it is a nightmare! All of the drug companies have different forms and guidelines. They also have a habit of "not receiving" everything. Once you qualify you have to keep up the process to stay current. You might consider hiring an advocate to do it for you. Yes, I know they charge a fee but so does your dentist, real estate agent, tax guy and anyone else who does something for you. If you dont think it is worth it, dont do it!!
Rx HELP, www.rxhelp4u.com is a highly reputable company and they dont want any money from you until you and they agree and are sure that the program is right for you.
