Using a Suitcase for a Pet Bed

Once while packing for a trip, my dog got into the soft-sided suitcase and fell asleep. After I got back from the trip, I noticed that the zipper had broken so I went ahead and cut the top off and added a cotton-covered foam mattress and Cookie loves his new, free dogie bed! I keep it under my work desk so while I am working he can be close and comfortable.

I have a friend who teaches evening university classes and brings her small to medium sized dog to her office. She uses an old suitcase to carry his pillow, water dish, kibble and bowl and toys. When she arrives at her office, she opens it; sets up his dishes and toys outside of the suitcase and fluffs up his pillow inside it. She goes off to teach for 3 hours and he's quite comfortable with the smells of home and his mom.

Hi Lisingreece :-) Great idea not only for your fur baby but also a wonderful way to recycle!
