How Do I Replace the Heel on a Pair of Boots?

I bought a great pair of boots at a thrift store. They do not have the heel pad on the bottom (just open). There is no shoe repair shop around. How can I do this myself? What materials would I use? Thanks!

You can order taps or tips on line for boots, Here is a picture of some of them. www.amazon.com/.../ (Affiliate Link)
There is a glue called shoe Goo. I hope this helps. Here is a link on how to use Shoe Goo and what it is made of. www.ehow.com/how_2074221_use-shoe-goo.html
The tips might be more expensive than going to a cobbler. :)
Good luck on your shoes!
