How Do I Keep Naturally Red Hair Bright During the Winter?

I have natural light red hair, like a strawberry blonde color. In the winter months it becomes very dull, more like a dull brownish color. How do I keep it from getting dull in the winter and turning icky brown without having to dye it constantly from December-March?

When I was younger my red hair did the same thing. Sometimes to liven it up in the winter I would rinse with lemon juice. Be careful not to use too much, hard water can have also have bad effects, i.e. turn your hair green.

You might check on the internet, but I think using vinegar/water to rinse your hair would help.

Nicole Kidman used to rinse her hair with cranberry juice. Ye, it's true. Look it up on the internet. Cathy from MA.
