Microwave Portion Of Meat For Taste Test

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 297 Posts

Whenever I want to test the seasoning for something that I don't want to eat raw, like meat loaf, or tuna patties, I pinch off a few tablespoons of the raw mixture and cook it in the microwave for a few minutes. It doesn't necessarily taste the same as it would when cooked in the oven, but it's close enough for me to tell whether the seasonings need to be adjusted.
