Beef SkilletI love this Oriental style dish. You can use green peppers only, if you wish, but I like to use one green and one red. Red peppers are sweeter than green.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. round steak cut in thin strips
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 can water
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 green peppers, chopped (or other colored peppers)
  • 1 jar pimento, drained

Directions:

Brown beef in oil; stir in onion, rice, broth, water, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook until liquid is absorbed, about 25 minutes. Stir in pepper and pimento and heat through.

Servings: 4-6
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 25 Minutes

Brown beef and onion in large skillet, for about 5 minutes. Add beans, broth, and taco mix. Bring to a full boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.

Combine chopped onion with hamburger and brow in a deep fry pan and then drain. Return hamburger to fry pan and add cooked macaroni, stewed tomatoes, juice and garlic.

Pat 3/4 of ground beef in bottom of cold electric skillet. Brown the remaining 1/4 ground beef and set aside. Layer vegetables over meat in skillet. Cover with soup spreading soup to edges of skillet.
