Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Hey guys, here is a chocolate chip oatmeal recipe.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup of butter
- 1 cup of maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp. of baking soda
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 tsp. of cinnamon
- 2 tsp. of vanilla (optional)
- 3 cups of uncooked rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, maple syrup, and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and cinnamon. Add rolled oats. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks.

Recipe: Ma's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. hot water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz.)
Directions
Cream the shortening, brown sugar and sugar together and add the eggs. Dissolve the baking soda in hot water, and add the salt and vanilla. Combine the two mixtures together. Stir in the flour and add the oatmeal and chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.

I just made oatmeal cookies like these, but I also add Butterscotch pieces with the chocolate pieces ,shredded coconut, a few chopped walnuts, and raisins, also threw a few cranraisins, I use about a little handful each, These are GOOD! I make enough to give away. If not, I will finish them, and that I really don't need. That's about 3 1/2 doz. (12/06/2008)

- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cup quick cooking oats
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix (3oz.)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts, opt.
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the oats, flour, pudding mix, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks.

- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. hot water
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup nuts (chopped)
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Directions
Drop onto sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes. Might have to add a little more flour.

- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding
- 3 cups chocolate chips
- 6 cups quick oatmeal
- 4 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions
Blend sugars, butter and shortening. Add eggs. Add rest of ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips last. Bake at 375 degrees F until light brown, about 8 minutes. Our favorite!

- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup oatmeal
Directions
Cream shortening and sugars together. Add eggs and beat thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together and add creamed mixture. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes.
