I love the occasional glitter manicure, but when it's time to change to something more subtle, I seem to use up so much nail polish remover trying to get all the little bits off. A good way to avoid that is by painting a coat of white glue (like Elmer's) on the nails as a base coat. Allow it to dry, then paint on the glitter. When you're ready for a colour change, just peel the glue and glitter off in one go. It's non-toxic, fast, and easy!
Glitter nail polish always looks so gorgeous in the bottle but when you swipe it on, it doesn't look anything like what's in the bottle! You only get a few pieces of the glitter and a whole lot of clear goo. Painting multiple coats on still doesn't give you enough glitter but makes your polish so thick.
