Baked Crispy Tofu

This is a 3 ingredient recipe. It is a healthier alternative to frying tofu while still achieving the nice crispy texture!

Prep Time: 10-15 minutes

Cook Time: 25-30 minutes

Total Time: 35-45 minutes

Yield: 1 pack tofu

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Drain tofu and dice into cubes.
  2. Line paper towel and place cubed tofu on top and squeeze excess water.
  3. In a bowl, add tofu and toss evenly with cornstarch and olive oil.
  4. Line baking pan with parchment paper and lay out tofu cubes.
  5. Bake at 400 F for 10-15 minutes. Toss tofu. Bake another 15-20 minutes, or until ready.

This sounds great. Occasionally I use tofu but have never tried baking it. I wish they'd mentioned if they used medium, firm, or extra firm tofu. I'm going to try it with firm.

FYI- I just made this recipe but used nutritional yeast on some and ground flax seeds in place of the cornstarch.

I used tapioca starch instead of cornflour and it turned out good.

I did make too many though and used some as croutons in my salad. That was different but a nice change.
