Baked Crispy Tofu

Baked Crispy Tofu on baking sheetThis is a 3 ingredient recipe. It is a healthier alternative to frying tofu while still achieving the nice crispy texture!

Prep Time: 10-15 minutes

Cook Time: 25-30 minutes

Total Time: 35-45 minutes

Yield: 1 pack tofu

Ingredients:

Baked Crispy Tofu
 

Steps:

  1. Drain tofu and dice into cubes.
  2. cut tofu
     
  3. Line paper towel and place cubed tofu on top and squeeze excess water.
  4. Tofu on paper towel
     
  5. In a bowl, add tofu and toss evenly with cornstarch and olive oil.
  6. mixing tofu with olive oil and corn starch
     
  7. Line baking pan with parchment paper and lay out tofu cubes.
  8. tofu on baking sheet

  9. Bake at 400 F for 10-15 minutes. Toss tofu. Bake another 15-20 minutes, or until ready.

This sounds great. Occasionally I use tofu but have never tried baking it. I wish they'd mentioned if they used medium, firm, or extra firm tofu. I'm going to try it with firm.

FYI- I just made this recipe but used nutritional yeast on some and ground flax seeds in place of the cornstarch.
Both came out nice a crispy too!

I used tapioca starch instead of cornflour and it turned out good.

I did make too many though and used some as croutons in my salad. That was different but a nice change.
