Ask your local liquor store or lounge that you know of if you can have theirs. That is how I get mine.

I know this whole post is pretty old--but since it has a new comment in 2021 I feel the need to share some info.
In some states it is illegal to give or sell or trade or share empty bottles from any kind of spirits. My state is one of them. This is one of the many legal postings online about it: norrismclaughlin.com/
I know a lot of people use them for crafts--so it seems odd--but the PA laws and those from other states are to prevent people from refilling bottles and illegally selling spirits (including filling bottles with a lesser quality product in a higher quality bottle for mis-represneation.
Yes, I get it that crafters like them for crafts, but I think these states don't see that as an exception.
I have a bunch of them honey, and they are free!! I was going to use for crafting and various decorative purposes, but no longer have that plan. Come and get ALL of them.
Find a restaurant that serves wine. They will have plenty.
I have tried Olive Garden and they said theyre not allowed to give them away!? Ticked me off!
Try a local bar or restaurant instead of a chain. My local bar said we could take them directly out of the recycling bin if we wanted any.

I do!!! I'll pay you for them if the price is reasonable. I've been making guitar slides out of wine bottle necks and I'm trying to get as many people as I can to start saving me their empty bottles instead of just throwing them away.
Many bars and restaurants go through several bottles of wine a night. I would talk to your local places and see if you can grab them out of the recycle bin or if they will save them for you.
