This is a nice way to showcase some of the more expensive yarns in an economical way. It is also perfect for enjoying some of those amazing buttons out there. This pattern uses basic single crochet and sc decrease skills. You'll be wearing your new bracelet in no time!:)

Total Time: Under 1 hour

  • "H" crochet hook
  • #4 worsted weight yarn
  • large button
  • scissors
  • embroidery needle

  1. Ch 12. *Your bracelet will be 2 1/2" wide.*
  2. Sc2tog inserting hook in 2nd and 3rd ch from hook,
  3. *Sc2tog inserting hook into SAME chain as last st and into NEXT chain, repeat from * until end. First row complete.
  4. Ch 1, turn. Sc2tog inserting hook in first and 2nd sc2tog, *sc2tog inserting hook into SAME place as LAST st and into NEXT sc2tog, repeat from * to end with last stitch in turning ch. Second row complete.
  5. **Very important that you remember to finish your last stitch of each row in the turning chain.** If you simply end in the last actual stitch, you will begin to decrease and have a triangle.

  7. Repeat your last row until your cuff is as long as desired. My wrist is 6" around, my cuff was about 6 3/4" long BEFORE the button loop.
  8. Depending on the size of your button, you will make a chain for a button loop. The button I used was 1 3/4"across. My chain was 12. Join your ch with a slip stitch to the other edge of your bracelet.
  9. Ch 1, turn. Work the same amount that you chained, as sc into your loop. Join with a slip stitch to the other corner and fasten off.
  10. Sew your button to the other side with your yarn tail.
  11. All set! :)
