I have purchased a new sofa that is cream with a lemon yellow and grey formal pattern. My walls are a country white. I am thinking of either using a yellow and grey curtain or solid grey. Any suggestions?

I would choose to go with grey curtains...you need to be able to have some contrast. I think if you went with grey and yellow along with your white walls that may be too bright and actually somewhat boring. Sounds like the grey would need to be pulled out on this one. Have you thought about decorative pillows and splashing a different color in with it, like slight blue hue and do curtains in that same color, or a cranberry hue.
I would go with the solid grey.
