Curtain Colour Advice?

I have just finished painting my living room, Just Walnut, and I have a mustard colour sofa and a brown sofa in the room. What colour of curtains should I get?

With the description that you gave, a curtain with a pattern would look nice with some colors like teal, orange, beige.

It would be helpful to see a photograph.

In my head, I imagine the mustard sofa to be quite a bold colour. Without anything else in the room matching it may look a bit stark or prominent.

Having something a similar colour would balance the scheme better. This could be curtains, lampshades, a rug or artwork on the walls.

I would to a beige color. Neutral and light will balance out the other colors

Without a photo, I would go with a patterned print with a brown/beige background with some medium greens & the mustard color as flowers or paisley type prints.

A rich Paisley pattern with many colours, red, blue, green, yellow, black would add a splash of brightness and become the focal point of your room.

A patterned curtain with walnut color in as close a match to the wall color as possible combined with a deep(or lighter) color mustard. that should tie it all together.

All of my furniture is either Walnut or Mahogany, & Beige carpet, however, You have painted "Walnut" & also have brown & mustard in your room, I assume, solid color furniture, since u don't mention any pattern! I would Suggest using a light color, such as beige? Or, soft yellow, green, etc.! Choose what your Favorite Color is, & What you had in mind when you chose these colors, then chose a color & pattern of soft Colors to BREAK UP ALL THE DARKER COLORS YOU HAVE, TO BRIGHTEN THE ROOM & POP OUT YOUR OWN PERSONALITY!! (ie: if you want BOLD, Pick your favorite color, soften it up, as mentioned, soft beige, yellow, maybe green) for the background, then " maybe Flowers, etc., if you're going ELEGANT, Or Circles, Squares, ANYTHING SORT OF "ART DECO " if you're going MODERN!!

Make sure to USE THE LIGHT BACKGROUND OF THE PRINT, IF YOU GO MODERN, etc. TO BRIGHTEN, PICK UP, & MAKE WELCOMING ROOM, as, though YOU HAVE CHOSEN BEAUTIFUL COLORS, ALL PLAIN CURTAINS OR DRAPES IN A DARKER ROOM CAN BE DEPRESSING!! Would Love to see PICS when you're done!! ( REMEMBER to Pick Either Your Favorite Color, first, that COMPLIMENTS THE COLORS YOU ALREADY HAVE CHOSEN, THEN JUST USE A BRIGHTER SHADE CURT. OR DRAPE (AS MENT. ABOVE) TO CPMPLIMENT, BUT MAKE IT YOURT CHOICE. It's YOUR ROOM, & YOU THAT YOU PLEASE FIRST!!!! Good Luck, Have Fun, & ENJOY YOUR NEWLY DESIGNED ROOM!!

Many thanks for your comments. I will post pictures when room is finished as I am waiting for wooden floors to be fitted and a woodburner installed. I have a mustard sofa so went for a mid grey sofa to complement it and loads of mustardgrey cushions.

Went for natural coloured curtains. The "just walnut" on the walls I have used throughout the hall and bedrooms. It's such a neutral colour...not grey, not taupe, not mink but a combination of all..just love it.
