Curtain and Rug Color Advice?

You could choose whatever you like because black and white go with just about any color. I would choose a fuschia rug and black and white curtains. That would certainly brighten up a room.

A blue rug with blue curtains would be nice too.

You are working with a very powerful and dynamic color. However, on furniture it isn't that intimidating.

• Black furniture works well with neutral colors such as ivory or beige. You could create some really interesting bold designs with these colors.

• If you decide to use a neutral shade it is best to stick with one shade. Use textures and patters to break up the room.
• You can also opt to use bold and vibrant colors such as red, yellow, green, etc. These colors are also as bold as your furniture so it is best to use them only as accent colors in the room.

It depends on your color taste. With black furniture and white walls, any color you bring in will be a pop to your black if you would like that. Or, if you're not into colors something neutral like gray or ivory would do for a sleek minimalist modern look. I like teal and gold accents.
