Where can I send unused cards of all categories? I have many that I have been given when I donate to certain organizations, but I cannot use them all. I would rather give them to anyone who can use them instead of tossing them into the recycle bin.

I would donate to a senior citizen center, an art department of a school, or a Boys and Girls club.
You can donate to local charities or organizations/hospitals like St. Judes, retirement homes, schools.
I'd contact your local children's hospital and surrounding schools.
The first question might be; are you wanting to donate to a place where cards will be reused (numerous ways) or donate to a charity that will resell to benefit whatever they sponsor?
Step 1
Charities to resell: There are probably several notible charities in your area (Google - your zip code - non-profit charities) but the ones that come to mind; Hospice Thrift Stores, Habitat for Humanity Stores, Salvation Army Thrift Store, Local Humane Society Thrift Store, local church thrift stores.
Step 2
Charity/places where cards will be re-purposed or reused: Local nursing homes, assisted living places, any senior center (all of these love/need to save money - no cost cards), Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude's Shriner's Hospital, elementary schools, and please, do not forget Correctional Centers.

Do take them to your local thrift shop, I know they sell them for 25 cents each or 5 for a $1 . Especially if you have any Christmas cards, most people send out 25 plus cards and would really appreciate being able to buy them at a bargain price !!
These are great not only because of the greeting card sending potential but the art project potential
Step 1
put an ad on craigslist, Community, Free. Someone with a craft project or need for greeting cards will answer

look on a local buy sell trade facebook group

contact local churches
Step 4
contact a local hospital

contact a local school, especially an elementary school. These are great for crafts projects.
I would give them to a second hand store like Salvation Army.
You can also post an add on free cycle some one would love to have them.
Some suggestions
Step 1
Surprisingly unused greeting cards well sell on eBay or Etsy when sold in lots of 50-100 cards. You can group by topic or color or just sell them all as one big bundle (lot)!
Step 2
eBay is free to list and you just are charged a small percentage of sale.
Step 3
Etsy charges a small fee and final sale percentage.
Step 4
Donating for places that resell always feels good but frequently cards that are donated get intentionally "roughed up" (bent or envelopes lost etc.) before they get to the shelves making them virtually unusable.
Step 5
My last suggestion is to invite a group of friends over and have them bring theirs unwanted cards for a card exchange. Then people take what they can use. Everyone wins and you get to spend time with your friends.
What about local organizations for the elderly and handicapped. A dear friend of mine who recently passed was in a group called Chit Chat in our neighborhood, senior citizens and they made all sorts of different things with them.
