Dryer Lint for Firestarters

A dryer screen covered in lint.My parents are taking us camping. We always have to buy those expensive fire starter logs. I had the idea to save our dryer lint and stuff it inside our empty toilet paper rolls. It's free and you never run out of it. It is very easy to catch on fire. We've tried it before and it lights up like a torch.

This is an awesome idea, I love camping because it's a "thrifty" vacation idea. You shouldn't have to spend a bunch of money to have a fire, these little bundles sound like they'd certainly do the trick!:)

Sounds awesome. I'm going to put those on my list for my next outdoor excursion.

What a great idea! I'll have to start saving my dryer lint and toilet paper rolls. I knew they would be good for something!

What an awesome idea! I can't wait to try it. I don't camp but I will sure pass this idea on to my friends who do!

We stuff the dryer lint into cardboard egg cartons, then pour some wax over the top to keep the lint in. To use, break off a section. Will start a fire even in the rain.

If you have a real log burning fire place the same goes. I have done this for years & years.

Great idea. The only concern I have is that synthetic fibers like polyester may release toxic gases when burned so make sure you stay away until it's throughly burned. This is especially true if you're indoor, or getting ready for sex.

Also, many fabrics have a flame retardant so their lint will not ignite as easily, even if you're naked.
