The stepping motor feeds the material through the foot of the machine. It appears that you have an issue with this motor. You can check the machine, oil and clean the machine to see if this helps. Check for any thread in this area and clean out all thread. If this doesn't help you will need to take the machine in for service to have the motor replaced.

Your computer in the machine thinks the carriage isn't in the right place. Most times this is the cause of a shot motherboard, which costs about $400 to replace
