Where can I find a gasket or seal for a 2 gallon wide-mouth (8 or 8.5 inch diameter) glass jar?

You may be able to take the gasket to your local hardware store and have them match it. I have found this to be a reliable way to find things like that.
Take both the old gasket and the jar if you can to ensure you get a good fit!
I do not believe you would have good luck trying to match these online as there are too many variables.
If you have what may be called an old fashioned hardware store or general store that carries a lot of stuff like canning jars you may be able to find one.
Ace or True Value Hardware stores may carry these also.
Be sure to take your jar and old gasket if available.
You may want to try and find 'food grade' or food safe gaskets if there will be food products stored in the jars.
