My friend's dog got hit by a car. His leg is broken by his elbow but she can't pay the surgery amount of 2,000. What can she do to help her dog?

She contact her local Humane Society or the ASPCA.

I feel sure you know this is a serious injury that should be taken care of as soon as possible so maybe you and your friend can contact some of these organizations for help.

You can take your dog to your local no kill humane society. Be sure and ask about the "no kill" policy. You will be asked to surrender the dog, and he will be treated and put up for adoption. You have only a day or so before it will become more complicated to treat your dog, so don't wait.

You can contact local shelters and rescues also. They sometimes know Vets who will treat your pet for less money.
