Getting Rid of Fleas

Due to ill health I have been fighting a flea infestation! My cats are free of fleas now. Just as I thought it was over I have discovered eggs everywhere! They are inside cupboards, inside sealed boxes, on the back of my TV. And now, I have them! How can I get rid of them from my short hair whilst I begin this long battle. I've tried a few things, but they come straight back continuously laying eggs on me. It's so bad I won't even prepare my own food here. I am losing the will to live. Please help. I can't afford professional people.

Cat fleas usually arent interested in people are you sure the eggs are from fleas? As for getting rid of them in your house, you have to vacuum constantly, and take the bag out put it in another bag and put it outside, every time you vacuum. High heat kills eggs, as can dish liquid, baking soda, &baby powder.

This is a big job and the fleas and eggs need to be removed from your home and pets at the same time in order to control them and get rid of them for good. If you have that many eggs in your house sprinkle salt on them to kill the eggs. At night use a small bowl filled with some dish soap and water. Put it on the floor. Make sure the bowl is not too deep for the fleas to jump in the bowl.

Now add a small night light to light up the bowl at night. The fleas are attracted to the light and will jump in the bowl of water and die. Make sure you give the cats flea tablets to take to control the fleas on them. You have to do this all at once otherwise they keep coming back. You can even try a fogger if you want but that means you and the animals need to leave your home for several hours.

Are you SURE what you are finding inside cupboards, sealed boxes, and the back of your TV are flea eggs? This sounds HIGHLY unlikely. Fleas are drawn to sources of blood....pets and humans in a house. Flea eggs look like grains of salt, and I don't know how they could possibly be on the back of your TV, as they are not sticky.

It sounds like you have another type of insect infestation, NOT fleas. Report back here with photos of these eggs you're finding, to give us a better understanding of what you're dealing with. Good luck.

I'm sorry but what you are seeing is not flea eggs so please post a picture so someone can help you.
This is serious if you are seeing this many so please let someone help you find a solution.
A solution will probably be a very easy task (and inexpensive) and will not take very long to rid your home of these insects.

get some diatomaceous earth and put it everywhere. That is a substance that will kill all hard-shelled bugs.

aside from that I have questions about your situation. I was not aware that you could just 'see' flea eggs everywhere like that. I was also not aware they could be on people. It sounds like there is something else here going on that also requires a professional's help.
