Hoover Carpet Cleaner Won't Turn On?

I have a Hoover duel power carpet washer. I used it to clean my couch, took it out side, and washed the rollers off with a water hose. I took it back in and was going to clean the living room carpet, but now it won't turn on. Yes it's plugged up, and plug is working, common sense helped with that.
