House Training a Puppy?

I have just got a lovely Lhasa Apso puppy. I am looking for tips on the best way to toilet train him.

Take your pup outside to the washroom after he wakes up, plays and shortly after he eats and drinks (and any other time he looks like he has to go). Little pups have tiny bladders and need to go often picking him up to take him outside is the best way to prevent an accident along the way.

Take him to the exact same spot every time so he has his fecal and urine scent to sniff. Also remember to give him a piece of kibble as he's going and big hugs and kisses after he's done. You should also connect a word or two to the act. We say to our dog do you have to "make" and she runs to the door (she is 3 though so I wouldn't expect him to do that for a while).

Our dog also know words "tinkle" and" poop" and remember to never ever punish your pup for having an accident in the house the only one to blame is yourself. Enjoy your new puppy!
