I found this in my bathroom. I don't know what it is. To me it looks like a tick or carpet beetle, but it's tiny.

This is a Varigated Carpet Beetle, most common beetle found in homes and warehouses. Loves organic materials and dry goods!
Your first guess was right it is a carpet beetle. They come in homes to get out of the cold and rain. They love warm dry areas and can be a pest when it comes to getting your grains or other items in your pantry.
