This looks like a blister, or bug bite! They have medicine that would shrink and take away the pain!

Thank you for your reply, but its hard like its a wart but u don't think it is, I'm just so confused because I never seen anything like it before

I also have the same problem. Did you manage to cure it or know what it is? Then please let me know.

This thread is from a while ago, but if you could can you give an estimated time this would get cleared up? I noticed mine about an hour ago, and it's identical to the one shown in the picture (other than it's on my index finger) that is all thank you.

June 6, 20210 found this helpful

Ok so i had one on my index finger tip apear about 2 weeks ago,I waited to see if its going to disappear and well it didn't,So i just took a needle and pinched it,It was like dried out and hard puss,But getting it out was super painfull,So if u find out what causes it, I would like to know to

June 6, 20211 found this helpful

Mine is on my index finger to,Its so weird that its suddenly appearing during these Covid times, There is nothing other than this site that has any recordings of this spot,I just took a needle and pinched my finger tip on the spot and pressed it,It was like a hard dried out puss that came out and it was pretty painfull to press it

July 26, 20211 found this helpful

First I had a tiny splinter stuck at the spot, after removing with tweezers I had this exact white spot on my finger. It does kinda hurt when you touch it but Im sure it will go away soon.

This is most likely a fungus .. I have it from washing a lot of dishes with harsh sanitizer .. I'm not a Dr but any athletes foot med should clear it up .. The bump can be very painful and you realize how deep it is once it starts going away .. I've also had meds from Dr bethamethazone I think was the name of it

October 3, 20210 found this helpful

how could one white dot be a fungus? and betamethasone is a steroid which would make a fungus worse.

I too have the similar problem. I got to know by USG that it's an hyperechoic lesion of 2 to 3 mm size in tip of palmar aspect of index finger. It's been 3 years but its size is same.

But it is tender when touched and cold sensitive causing piercing type of pain. I'm too afraid to try to cut it or drain it . Does your problem solved after draining

That's from sleeping with the bf who sleeps with his dog. Those are fleas bites. Sounds like it would help to wash pup n sheets more often. Good luck.

They're little puss pockets. I had the same thing, so I dug into my finger and when I squeezed it made a bubble and I was like that's weird, so I squeezed a little harder and it popped. Pretty gross, but that's what mine was.

That small white capsule thankfully you got it out when it was small and didnt grow to be very large. The small white capsule is called a Bot fly. Not all of these sound like not fly but yours deff was. The fly lays eggs on mosquitoes and ticks. Then it bites you and egg burrows under your skin and grows.

I have the same bump. When I told my dermatologist about it, she said it was a calcium deposit and ordered blood work. She said its sometimes a sign of an autoimmune disease. Sure enough, I have Sjögrens syndrome.

September 8, 20220 found this helpful

You don't have fleas' if you did they would be jumping ON you. Not IN you. Honestly it's probably a buildup of athletes foot on the your thumb.

October 12, 20220 found this helpful

Little red bumps in one or more locations is probably flea bites. The tiny blister thing Im thinking is your body putting out cells to fight the flea bites to protect you.

I was fighting a virus and during that time I noticed the blister. It should go away or heal if not see a dr.

December 23, 20220 found this helpful

I was going to say it could be a wart. I've had warts for most of if not all my life and that looks like the begining of a wart to me, I'm not a doctor tho so. I would get it checked out if I were you.

January 18, 20230 found this helpful

Not washing a dog, doesn't cause fleas..

March 4, 20230 found this helpful

It's a wart. Freeze it and use over the counter compound W liquid also.

Duct tape has a chemical in the sticky glue that also help kill the wart.

That hard white pocket underneath the skin and hurts when you touch it, is the root.

You can dig out a root but it hurts!!!. Better to freeze it and put the liquid acid in it.

April 9, 20230 found this helpful

I'm experiencing this too. Definitely not a bug bite. I've tried tape over night or finger nail polish. A planters wart looks different and you can rid it with duck tape but not this.

April 12, 20200 found this helpful

It could be callous built up from a splinter of some sort. Perhaps from something really thin and tiny. I had something like that once. Believe it or not, it was a very short short thin BUT sharp piece Of HAIR! YUP! You read it right! HAIR! It was the leftover shavings from my husbands beard. I guess NOT ALL the tiny hairs from his shaver was washed away that day. AND Because one was stuck in the palm of my hand for quite some time, it formed a callous around it. I know... Im sorry... So gross!! But... I NEVER forgot THAT possibility.

From then on, I ALWAYS... ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS... make him wipe the bathroom sink down using paper towels to catch those tiny pieces of hairs. AND IF he does a morning shave in the shower... I have him wash down the WHOLE SHOWER. TUB, WALLS & ALL. Dont need a repeat of that on any OTHER BODY PARTS. Hehehe...

Ok... So maybe you could soak your finger/callous in warm or semi-hot water til it softens and then needle through it. It could be fiberglass or an actual WOOD splinter. But be careful! You could make the callous worst instead of better. Maybe go to a doctor to see what they can do. Good luck! Hope this helps/Heleekela! Take Care...

I get these a lot working in my garden or even when I am working with wood. A very small piece of a thorn or wood or something else has gone into the skin. I normally take a needle and open mine up and put a bandage on it. In a few days they go away. I know it is painful but open it up and squeeze it to see if anything comes out of it.

June 2, 20220 found this helpful

I have had mine since March they just keep appearing on my finger and disappearing and reappearing

September 30, 20230 found this helpful

Its parasites, I have been in treatment for a couple of weeks, 3 rd day of treatment they started showing themselves mainly in 3 of my fingers, the most damaged fingers from supposed rheumatoid arthritis. They are dying off now and super painful mainly because I have been on hunt for them and trying to dig out. After a few minutes of this, they leave some kind of excretion that hardened and was very difficult to remove because of the sharp edges. Ive been on ivermectin and praziquantel.
Good luck!!

May 17, 20200 found this helpful

It's probably a callous coming up. Just use lotion on it. That should make it go away sooner.

May 27, 20210 found this helpful

I have the same thing, did you find out what it is?

September 15, 20210 found this helpful

I get these a lot from metal splinters, if there is little infection and the wound is closed your body encases its, if you leave it long enough it will start to hurt and if you cut it open you will see the white encasement dont know what happed if you leave them though.

November 23, 20210 found this helpful

I first clipped a thin layer of the tip of the white bump, then pinched it with a needle, trying to open the way for the hard puss to come out. Some lady with a picture in this thread made alot of sense. Anyways, it's been about 2 weeks, I'm like new.

My Daughter plays video games too often. I say she will be blind and her thumbs arent going to work when she is old. A few weeks ago her thumbs were hurting. Today she has white blisters that look very similar and she said it has a stabbing pain.

February 1, 20220 found this helpful

I have a small white bump on my palm & it hurts if pressed on. In the past, when I've had this, it's usually due to wooden or other splinters that got stuck in the skin. Resolution? I light a match, burn edge of safety pin & edge of tweezers, rinse "tools" under hot, soapy water, pour rubbing alcohol on the bump, the pin & tweezers & poke the bump w/the safety pin gently at first, then a little harder, until there's an opening. Using tweezers, I pull apart skin on top of bump, always re-rinsing tools w/alcohol & soap & water until I get through several levels of skin. Then, w/my finger (or tweezers), I push 1 side of bump until blood or pus comes out of opening. I rinse open wound under cold & warm soapy water repeatedly, rinse w/rubbing alcohol, dry, then bandage. Bump should heal & Not hurt to the touch anymore. Now, I'm NOT an MD & my bumps are not due to cancer, etc, so proceed w/caution!

February 10, 20220 found this helpful

I had a white dot on my thumb, didnt know what it was but it stung each time i put pressure on it. people say its Calcinosis. This condition causes a buildup of calcium in or under the skin. out of my experience, after about 2 weeks, it leaks weird fluid and goes away.

February 14, 20220 found this helpful

I have been told by my Dr that it is a virus. It is a small white bump that when pressed hurts. The skin around it is a little red. When the white skin is removed it is like an exposed blister underneath, with little or no fluid.
Mine come up when Im stressed, or a bit run down. The lumps eventually go away by themselves.

March 6, 20220 found this helpful

This sounds like mine. Have had it before. Recently came up again. I thought it was a wart. Doctor thought I had a splinter stuck in it. She shaved it down. No changes in days afterward. I kept picking at the hard skin and eventually the callous came off. It did have a little dot in the center. Its still there now and I was actually just picking at it and pealed a couple layers of skin off and now can see a little dot/bump exposed. It stings like hell when I touch it with something. Some of the pain is probably from taking the skin off like a good scrape but I feel like that little exposed thing is a wart or something. Probably went too far but Im tired of it being there!

March 3, 20220 found this helpful

I recently got the same white bumps and stabbing-like pain when pressure is applied to some of them. Im a dishwasher for a restaurant and I suspect I got it from the job. I encounter many types of dishes that I think can give off metal shavings. In my first week, I noticed a small splinter from the plastic racks we use ended in the palm of my hand. I pulled it out and later that day and days after I got a small white bump where it was. I started to wear gloves but I ended up getting more and more. I'd often feel a small prick even through the gloves. Perhaps it's small splinters that end up under the skin and heal over. I do end up getting my hands in some nasty things like bottom of dripping trash cans, to water with everything in it, to touching water with chemicals, I even occasionally get cuts from dumb items like pulling apart metal wire sponges etc. Not sure but I'm upgrading to better gloves and ended up having to get antibiotics from swelling infected fingers. What do yall encounter daily that raises suspicion or gives off small splinters?

I used to get them when I was young and washed a lot of dishes. Ive recently started getting them again, also after washing dishes. I tend to believe its related to the dish soap

I was curious if anyone had a definite wtf is this thing answer? I too have one of the same little wow painful white dots on my left pointer finger, just below the knuckle on the palm side of hand, I have tried lancing it, coring it, pooping it, to no avail, until I read these I figured it only hurt so much to touch it because it is right at the very end of scar from k-bar taking off all but the bone accident, if it helps, I am do (mostly stainless steel) metal fabrication and machine maintenance in a extremely high protein food type factory. I have given up on it for now mainly because it hurts and I need to go buy new exacto blades.

I have this even since poking it with hair from a djembe drum. I've frozen it off with dry ice, used wart acid patches, poked it, cut it, but it always come back. I guess it's here forever now.

March 25, 20220 found this helpful

Ok, so, I had this same thing on my left middle finger, and I took a needle, poked it, and it peeled off easily. Pls try this.

April 10, 20220 found this helpful

I don't know the medical term for it, but i think it's just a swelling of the skin cells beneath the surface. You should notice a bit of skin irritation when rubbing along the growth. It takes time to go away, but I find that if you make some kind of opening, like an incision or a tiny hole, it goes away quicker. I just use nail clippers to pop the top of it. This does lead to further irritation, so unless you're a masochist, just be patient.

April 26, 20220 found this helpful

It looks like corns on the skin to me. Look it up, it might be that. They sell corn removers in the pharmacy section at Target.

April 27, 20220 found this helpful

I had a bump like that show up a few months ago. I squeezed it and a big line of very hard, yellow puss came out. After that, I saw a dermatologist. She thought it was a wart, so she treated it with liquid nitrogen. It healed up and came back as that microscopic little white do you can bare see (within the dashed circle and arrows). The other mark you see on my finger it the remainder of a burn; the next 2 times I saw her, she attempted to burn it out, with electricity. One of the most painful experiences of my life, and she is still baffled; its too small to biopsy. And now here we are, Im about to go back for visit number 4 for it, because while its not clear in the picture, that same tiny white dot has reappeared. Really hope to find an answer soon, its incredibly painful if I put pressure on it the wrong way.

I had the same thing it hurt so bad. My doctor said it is: Tophaceous gout occurs when uric acid crystals form masses of white growths that develop around the joints and tissues that gout has affected. These masses, called tophi, are often visible under the skin and tend to look like swollen nodules. The material may be in a liquid, pasty, or chalky state.

February 8, 20230 found this helpful

I dont know what it is either but it takes about a month to kinda clear because it can leave a scar. If you have the acne patches and wrap it around the area it helps absorb the moisture that the spot has and lemon with baking soda paste help as well. I know my mum also suffers with this and she says it occurs cause of locking in too much moisture during cold times.
