Identifying a Small Brown Bug?

Identifying a Small Brown Bug? - what appears to be a two headed bugWhat is this brown bug? It is the same shape and size of, or smaller than, a single grain of rice. I saw one on the wall about a week ago and now they have multiplied very quickly and can be found on the walls and ceiling in multiple rooms of my house.

They do not appear to do much of anything other than move on occasion. They don't fly or bite as far as I've noticed. Upon zooming in on my photos it appears as though it is 2 bugs connected to each other backend to backend?!? I am so disgusted after seeing that! They are so small I never would have noticed the 2 heads without zooming in on pics of them. What are they and how do I get rid of them?

Please help.

I live in Florida and encounter love bugs every year and I can definitely state - these are not love bugs.
Love bugs are larger than a grain of rice and do not have anything like 'pincers' and mostly fly outdoors. They can get inside but seem to only eat on other insects outside.

I agree that they look a lot like earwigs but do not have pincers at both ends as your pictures seem to show but this could just be what it looks like. Earwigs can be controlled but the source of entry into your home needs to be found.
Someone could have brought these bugs inside either on an animal, or clothing or a plant.
If you think it could be earwigs then check one of these links on how to get rid of them in your home.
These are really outdoor bugs but can become a real nuisance when they invade your house.

If you want to hear what the experts may think about your bug you can contact your local county extension agency and they will help you as they will be familiar with what insects are prevalent in your area right now.

It may be an earwig:

It blurs out when I enlarge--my computer, not your photo is the cause.

Post back if you think that is what you have. They can be tiny.

Here is an article about a bug called a love bug. I have looked at your images and read this article and see the image of the bugs and it looks just like the bug you are describing. When they mate they can stay connected for several days before they move apart.

It is very interesting because it is the first time I have seen this bug and it was amazing to read about it. Take a look at this article and the image on the right side. I think this is the bugs you have in your home.

Maybe a Firebrat- this insect is in the Silverfish family. Loves warm/humidity. It feeds on food and woven particles . They do not cause damage, mostly harmless. en.wikipedia.org/.../firebrat

This looks like two Love Bugs mating. Love Bugs are a southern nuisance that swarm to mate, usually in Spring and then again in Fall. They are annoying bug not damaging.

Any in your house or vehicles can just be vacuumed up. Sorry, you just have to put up with them during their swarms.
