Identifying an Antique Drop Leaf Table?

Identifying an Antique Drop Leaf Table - mahogany finish table with leaves open - has casters on the feetMy dad got this at a local thrift store for 20 bucks. I've been scrolling for hours trying to find more information about the age? There are no maker marks. It's oval when the leaves are up. Dining table size. Any information would be wonderful.

He got a good deal. I have seen Mersman tables that look like this for around $200. It might be less if it is a knockoff.

I think you got a great deal! It is lovely! While "brown" furniture does not have a lot of value in the market in most places (in the US), tables that are practical and good for small spaces still have some value in the market.

I peg it as 30s or 40s. Probably US made, but I can't get a good look at the legs and feet...so you may want to look at this link and find your legs/feet and that will help you with your research:

It is possible it had a paper tag that fell off, but most big brand companies used a more permanent method to mark their pieces. It could have been a store brand piece. Sometimes those did not have markings.

What kind of control is there to drop the leaf? That can also help you date the piece and maybe find the manufacture.

Post back what you learn! Thanks for sharing!

Unusual table.
It would be difficult to identify or date a table like this without some type of marking/symbols and you may never find one that even comes close to being the same era.

You can find out a lot of information from free online appraisal sites but it will take some work-up to submit a question.
You would need several very good pictures. top of table opened and closed, full sides opened and closed, full ends (one is damaged?), several of the legs and feet from all angles, several of underside showing type of hardware and workmanship.
Also, measurements and true condition.
