Identifying an Insect Egg - egg?Any idea what this is? When I went to pick it up it started rolling around by itself.

More than likely it is a small lizard egg. I have them here but most of the time mine are white color. I have seen some colored ones like this in my area from a different type of lizard.

It was definitely a solid ball but squishy. It had the consistency of a paint ball.

It looks like a plastic ball bearing.

whoa!!! That is crazy looking

in my opinion, there's no way that's an actual a part of a living organism. It looks too shiny and perfectly round and the size is definitely off for an insect.

If you really thought it was an egg, I would isolate it and see if it hatched
