Information About Low Table?

A round table low to the ground.I bought this table at a thrift shop in Southern CA. I'm wondering how old it might be and why it's only 16 1/2 inches high (4 ft diameter). THANKS!

The manufacturer's mark is not on the base? It seems to me that the base is a different color from the table top. Perhaps the base was completely different or a part is missing at the base.
These tables are similar in color to your table top, all parts of these tables are the same color:

Your table made after 1956 because similar Imperials trademark with similar shield and "Imperial, Grand Rapids, Michigan" was used from 1956 www.furniturecityhistory.org/.../imperial-furniture-co
