I have seen pieces like this that had provenance (people had original bills of sale or knew family history) and they usually refer to these as the Eastlake period of design (lasted from 1870 to 1890 approx) OR, I also see it called Victorian Renaissance Revival or Renaissance Revival styles (which lasted 1860s and 1870s approx). These were original pieces so your piece could be from that era or a reproduction of a piece from that era from any where from 1890 to today.
What does the construction look like (like dove tail drawers, is the marble real, are there nails in the construction--if so what do the heads look like, are there screws in the construction--what do the heads look like--flat or hex/phillips).
There is so much that goes into dating pieces it is important to know much more and see much more.
As to value--it depends on what you have. A modern repro will be valued less than an antique.
If it is a true antique piece--I have seen them sell from $150 into the thousands. Why the huge variance? Location of the piece, condition of the piece, and market at the time are all factors. Furniture sales are regional and what sells for a few bucks in my town may sell for thousands in a metro city and vice versa.
With a piece this big, it would be best if you have a reputable auction house (not just some eBay seller, but a real auction house--one with appraisal services) look at it for you or find a good one on line (cybergrannie has a lot of good sources for that she can share--so hopefully she will chime in).
You have a great start to the pictures, but they will need to see it from all sides, plus construction (like sides and backs of drawers, close up on marble etc.)
This is a gorgeous piece! I hope it is a true antique and where you are it fetches you a tidy sum.
By the way, I often see them referred to as a MARBLE TOP DRESSING TABLE vs just a dresser. It adds the layer of romance with the marble vanity top and shelves for perfume or other necessities!

This looks like from the 1920s to me. I would take the pictures to a dealer.
