Rubber Band to Hold Ball of TwineTo hold string in place on a ball of twine, put a wide rubber band on over the end of the string. The ones that come on produce work well. When you need some string, just give it a pull and it will unwind under the rubber band. Cut off what you need and then place the ball of twine back where you keep it. The rubber band will hold it in place.

A store twine in an empty coffee can. If it is a large ball of twine I use a large coffee can, a small ball of twine will fit nicely into a small plastic coffee can. Cut a hole in the top of the coffee can lid and insert the twine in the can put the top on the can and thread the twine through the hole so you can just roll that one out of the coffee can and leave a small piece at the top to retrieve it for the next project
