This invitation is great for summer birthdays and parties. It's easy to make and a joy to receive.

Approximate Time: 20 minutes

  1. Draw circles using a compass as a guide or draw circles directly on colored paper.
For this project, I used Circle Scissor (by EK Success) to draw circle (and semicircles) patterns on white cardstock.

Circle diameters: green- 6 inches, white- 5 3/8 inches, red- 4 7/8 inches.

  2. Cut one green circle. Score and fold in half to make a card.

  3. Cut out white semicircle and glue it in place on green card.
Cut one red semicircle and glue it in place on white area of card.

  4. Use the circle punch to cut out black dot seeds and glue them in place.

This is a super cute melon-themed card where the watermelons are simply made from pieces of round office labels. Add a bit of matching glitter glue to the fruit to make them appear juicy!

Total Time: 30 minutes

Yield: 1 card

  • white cardstock
  • round labels (green, red, yellow)
  • scissors
  • black pen
  • glitter glue
  • ribbon and glue (optional trim)

  1. Cut the card base to desired size.
  2. Cut some green labels in half.
  3. Cut some red and yellow labels a little smaller than half sized.
  4. Arrange the green stickers on the card. Place the red and yellow stickers on top of the green ones to make the watermelon slices.
  5. Draw on little seeds.
  6. Glue some ribbon onto the card edges, if desired.
  7. Write your message onto the card.
  8. Add some glitter glue to make the melon shimmer.
