I changed an outlet and light switch in my kitchen and they work fine, but now in the next two rooms (laundry and sun room) the light switches will not work. All other outlets work, but not the two light switches. No breakers tripped. I checked all plugin outlets that needed reset, and all were good. No power seems to be going to the light switches when I checked with my device.

It sounds like a daisy chain setup. There is a with the way you wired this as the others are dependent on it. If you see unsure of how to do it get an electrician.
Check fuse box, in case those rooms were tripped due to new set up!
We had this exact issue when we removed a light from our dining room and a room two over then did not have light. Turns out the previous owner did some wonky wiring job that was not to code. It took an electrician go in and follow all the wires around and find where the totally unrelated switches were wired and get it all corrected.
If you are super good with electricity, you may be able to figure it out by tracing all the wires back to the box...if you don't have the patience, maybe call in a pro. It took our guy 2.5 hours to get it all resolved and left several big holes in our walls that he had to patch.
