There is no set recipe I use for open faced sandwiches. I have them for breakfast or a late night snack. Start with slice of toast and add one of the following:
- slice of cheese and bacon
- cream cheese and slice of pineapple
- strawberry cream cheese and sliced strawberries and/or bananas
Make your own combination; the choices are endless.

Delicious open face breakfast sandwiches.
- 1 lb sausage
- 12 eggs
- 2 cans pork and beans
- 2 packages brown gravy
- 6 slices bread
- Cook sausage until well done.
- Cook eggs well done.
- Mix sausage, eggs, and beans. Cook on low.
- Make gravy as directed.
- Put mixed sausage, eggs, and beans on bread and pour gravy over.
- 1 can Spam
- 1 medium onion
- 6 slices American cheese
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2-3 Tbsp. ketchup
- hamburger buns
Grind together the Spam, onion, American cheese, and green pepper. Sprinkle sugar over the top and also ketchup. Mix well. Spread on halves of hamburger buns. Heat in broiler about 5-7 minutes.

Butter each half of hamburger bun. Combine remaining ingredients. Spoon onto bun. Put on cookie sheet and heat in 300 degrees F oven for 20 minutes.Read More...
