Repairing a Burn Hole in Vintage Disco Shirt?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to repair a polyester disco shirt? I slightly scorch it using an iron. I know that I should have not have done so. Or maybe the iron was hot. Anyways I "totally love" the shirt and paid a lot for the shirt, it's vintage and as you all know it's one of a kind. I know it's almost impossible for me to get another. It now has a medium hole in the lower area of the shirt.

I'm sorry this happened for you. I once did this to Favorite. Unfortunately there really is not a good way to fix it. You may be able to find someone who can patch it. I don't know how close you are to the Texas panhandle, but my business is clothing Alterations & repair. I try to match the fabric color & content as much as possible to hide such things although it is lots of times impossible. If you don't have someone in your area that does this sort of repair, send me a msg @ my website: and I'll look try to help you remotely.

You could put some stabilizer on the wrong side. You could then use fabric paint to duplicate the design.
