Restoring a Sun Damaged Hat -faded hatMy hat is sun damaged and discolored. Is there any way I can salvage the hat and make it wearable again?

You would have to have it dyed. I would suggest having it done professionally.

Hats get that way, especially if you leave them in the car. Sadly, if you try to dye it, there is a good chance it will never be the same. The colors splotch up and you can ruin the wording. The dye can also make the brittle fabric even more fragile. It may be time to retire it.

Hi,

I looked around for how others have re-dyed their hats and I came up with this link, which shows how to use spray-on fabric paint and painters tape to re-dye the hat.
