This is a guide about how to make beef brisket for 200 people. You can prepare the amount of brisket needed based on approximately 1/4 pound per person. Also, some recipe sites allow you to add in the number of servings and then it will calculate the ingredient totals.

Ingredients

  • 1 beef brisket (3-3 1/2 lbs.), cut in half
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup grape jelly
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions

Place half of the brisket in a slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the ketchup, jelly, soup mix, and pepper; spread half over meat. Top with the remaining meat and ketchup mixture. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender. Slice brisket; serve with cooking juices.

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 fresh beef brisket, cut in half (3-4 lbs.)
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cans mushrooms, drained
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Directions

Place onion in a 5 qt. slow cooker. Rub brisket with pepper; place over onion. Top with mushrooms. In a small bowl, combine the broth, chili sauce, brown sugar and garlic; pour over brisket. Cover and cook in slow cooker on low until meat is tender. Remove brisket and keep warm. In a small bowl, combine flour and water until smooth; stir into cooking juices. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes or until thickened. Slice brisket; serve with gravy.

Ingredients

  • 6 lbs. beef brisket
  • 1 (18 oz) bottle of smoke flavored BBQ sauce
  • 2 Tbsp, brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. black pepper
  • Ad

  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Combine all ingredients except brisket,then place brisket into crockpot liner. Turn brisket around a few times. Let sit for about 3 hours, not plugged in. Plug in once marinaded, cook on low 9 to 10 hrs.

You can do the marinating the night before and leave in fridge. The following morning, place liner in and cook.
