2 days after opening should be fine but leaving hair dye opened will oxidize and can mess up your colour. You can tell if the product exposed to the air has changed because it will be darker and thicker so just squeeze it from the tube until the dye which hasn't been oxidized comes out, that's still fresh and totally fine to use
As long as it is not mixed with any developer it is fine.
Two days should be OK. There are lots of schools of thought on hair products because obviously companies want to sell more...but you do have to be careful of them left for longer periods of time...besides not so good color, come can cause scalp burns and damage your hair if they are really old.
If you have any doubts, call the company you bought it from (or store if a salon or beauty product supply chain) and ask. If it is a grocery store product or drug store...don;t call them...they are clueless. Most companies have contact info...Google is a great phone book!
