I am curious to see if anyone knows the value of several pieces of furniture. I'm also interested in the style and time of this furniture. The brand is American of Martinsville. I have had no luck looking them up.

Unless it is an antique, it has no value where I live. I see people giving them away on Freecycle. You can put it up for sale at $400 and see if you have any takers.
The company which started in West Virginia if I remember correctly has been around since the 1900s and were best known for the furniture they made in the 1950s and 60s that is now referred to as Mid Century Modern (MCM). It is the sleek line furniture, sometimes referred to as Danish style. Very minimalist.
Your pieces are definitely NOT MCM.
I think they are very interesting and are probably earlier pieces....maybe from the 1940s as they are not quite art deco and not quite Art Nouveau in style. They are very elegant and stately.
This company made a lot of furniture way back when for hotels and that was my first thought when I saw your set that it reminds me of an old fashioned, upscale hotel look.
You could have something valuable on your hands, so my best recommendation would be to have an antique/vintage dealer in your town look these over and help you sell them.
Every market is different so it is best to talk to an expert in your town and get a feel for what they think and the value where you are.
In some cases -- if the piece has value -- they may be able to place it in an auction where it can get the attention it needs to sell.
Sadly most brown furniture has little value in most parts of the country, but there are exceptions and I am really hoping in your case, this is one of them.
American of Martinsville has collectors out there who seek out the unusual sets and pieces from this brand.
